If you are going to learn a method, it helps to know where it comes from and what can be checked about the person teaching it. This article covers Dr. Roberto Trivellini's career using what we could verify in public sources, and leaves out what we could not.

A surgeon with an engineer's mindset

The common thread of his work is instruments. In 2011 he founded Mamba Instruments in Asunción (Paraguay), the company later presented as Trivellini Tech, according to the company's own press release [1]. The starting idea was that FUE had a ceiling set by its tools, and that redesigning them could raise it. That is the premise you will see applied in the multiphase system.

Dated milestones

More has been published about his career (committee roles, number of congresses, other courses). Until we have a source we can cite or his direct confirmation, we do not treat it as established here.

Teaching

His verifiable teaching includes organizing the Latin American FUE Workshop in Asunción, around 2017, with surgeons from Central and South America and guest faculty [5]. The page gives no exact date, which is why we say "around 2017".

In 2024, the ISHRS Live Surgery Workshop in Milan showed long hair extraction in one of its operating rooms with the device that carries his name, performed by other surgeons; it is not stated that he was present, so we do not present it as his teaching [6].

What the academy teaches and what it does not

The academy gathers his method: Long Hair FUE without shaving and the multiphase system and its instruments. It is not an accreditation program and does not replace supervised surgical practice, and the certificate it issues shows you passed the course, not a license to operate. If training is what holds you back, start with why the FUE learning curve is so steep.

A transparency note

Roberto has commercial interests in the instruments he describes. We say so because it matters to anyone evaluating a method, and because he discloses it himself in the 2018 article [2]. We recommend checking any method against independent literature, ours included.

Frequently asked questions

Is Roberto Trivellini the creator of Long Hair FUE?
He is the one who systematized it and built instruments for it. According to the academy's documentation the initial concept is attributed to Marcelo Pitchon; we are clarifying exact authorship with him and do not claim it.
Does the academy license me to operate?
No. It is online training. The certificate shows you passed the course and is not a professional license.
