Mamba is an asynchronous roto-oscillation, with an angle from 0 to 720 degrees that jumps from one value to another. The vibration it creates in the handpiece separates the tissue from the punch wall within milliseconds and lets the suction lift it.

Lesson content

What is the difference between the Mamba movement and the oscillatory one?

  • The Mamba movement is a roto-oscillation, but with an angle that can range from 0 to 720 degrees and it is asynchronous: it does not keep a constant rhythm, the angle is random and jumps from one value to another.
  • The result is a lot of vibration in the handpiece. That vibration keeps separating the tissue from the punch wall within milliseconds.
  • As the tissue separates from the wall, the suction can lift it inside the punch.
