The device works with or without a pedal. With the pedal, Dr. Trivellini feels more control over the follicular unit; with Smart React you place the handpiece on the unit and extract, but you have to control the depth.

- With the pedal is the way Dr. Trivellini works best: he feels he has more control over the follicular unit because he does not have to control the depth.
