Trivellini Academy versus device manufacturer training
A comparison of Trivellini's online academy with training from hair transplant device manufacturers: focus, cost, support and independence, with sources.
By Trivellini Academy Team · · 2 min read

Several hair transplant device manufacturers offer training for those who use their equipment. This comparison sets it next to the academy and says where each wins. It is part of the map of hair transplant training.
An upfront and relevant notice: the academy is also tied to a manufacturer. Roberto Trivellini discloses owning the company that makes the device he describes in his 2018 article [1]. So this comparison cannot be presented as one from a neutral third party.
Examples with a public source
- Restoration Robotics, Master Class for ARTAS. In June 2018 the company launched a continuing education series; the first session included live demonstration and hands-on training, with topics on robotic surgery, hairline design and donor and recipient planning, taught by Dr. Robert Bernstein [2].
- Venus Concept (Venus Hair). Its page describes preceptorship and clinical training, a certified ARTAS technician training program and business development training; it gives no dates or durations, and it is commercial material [3].
We do not know whether the 2018 Master Class is still active, and no prices are published on the pages consulted.
Comparison
| Criterion | Manufacturer training | Trivellini Academy |
|---|---|---|
| Focus | The company's device | Roberto Trivellini's method (with his instruments as reference) |
| Format | Master Class, preceptorships, technician programs | Online course, 1:1 session, AI tutor |
| Practice | May include demonstration and hands-on | No surgical practice |
| Coverage | Follow-up and commercial support | Follow-up through 1:1 session and tutor |
| Cost | Not published in what we consulted | Course price on its page |
| Independence | Tied to selling the equipment | Also tied: the instructor has interests in his instruments |
Where manufacturer training wins
- Depth and support on a specific device, if you already use it or are about to buy it.
- Possible hands-on or live demonstration.
- Commercial and technical accompaniment for the equipment.
Where the academy wins
- Structured, repeatable study in your language (course, languages).
- No equipment purchase to study the method's reasoning (multiphase system).
- Focus on the surgeon, not the technician: see depending on technicians.
When to choose each
Choose manufacturer training if you already work with its device and need its support. Choose the academy if you want to understand a method before deciding which equipment to use, or to complement your current team's training. Always check against independent literature, because both options carry commercial interest.
